Price Guides 2010
Help with baseball cards?
I’ve recently inherited a huge baseball card collection.. But I really know nothing about baseball cards. I know that I have cards from the early 60’s to 2010.. but I’m sure there’s some from earlier then the 60’s mixed into the bunch.
Should I be looking for certain players and certain years? I really don’t know where to start. Any help, or suggestions on finding a good price guide would be much appreciated!
First off, separate all of the old cards from the 60’s and earlier and put them into penny sleeves if that hasn’t already been done or they’re not in a notebook.
They key to the value of these cards in the condition they are in. The better the condition the higher the value will be.
The best thing to do now is to sort them all in order by year and team. From there it becomes a lot easier to get a value on them in the Beckett price guide which you will probably need.
You will look up the maker ( Topps / Upper Deck etc. )
Then the year, team, and player.
