Romance Books Lot

If I DON’T like girly romance books with lots of mushy love, will I like the Twilight series?
I don’t like romance books.
I don’t like perfect, pretty characters.
I don’t like poorly-written books.
I don’t like teen drama (despite being 16).
I don’t like reading about love-struck teens.
I’m a 16 year old girl, and am an avid reader (Macbeth, The Pearl, Running With Scissors, Memoirs of a Geisha, etc.), but really can’t stand teen stuff (including television). If there truly is something else in Twilight that will make me like the books, do tell me. I’m not saying this to bash the Twilight series. I really want to know, and will truly read them if they seem to appeal to me.
You would hate it, trust me. I read them and they were…not good. they’re romance, perfect character-y, poorly-written, waay to dramatic, and bella is so love-struck it’s sickening.
btw: You sound so much like me, it’s scary.
You should read the Thursday Next books by Jasper Fforde or the Bartimeus Trilogy(I’m currently reading that, it’s awsome)

Return to Me: Music from the MGM Motion Picture Soundtrack $7.99 David Duchovny and Minnie Driver star in Bonnie Hunt’s romantic comedy Return to Me, named after the Dean Martin standard that leads off this soundtrack. According to the liner notes, Hunt assembled these songs to reflect nostalgia for her own childhood, and, aside from the incongruous addition of Smokey Robinson and the Miracles’ “I Second That Emotion,” it’s all orchestrated pop that recalls a … |

Obsession $7.13 Obsession features some of the finest flamenco-style pickers, including the enormously popular New Age artist Ottmar Liebert. While Liebert’s nuevo flamenco has been called the equivalent of flamenco-lite by critics and the genre’s purists, in his drum- and keyboard-supplemented rounded chord progressions there is an easy, accessible charm that appeals to a more mainstream audience. Cast alongside… |

A Lot Like Love – Music From The Motion Picture $7.99 This romantic fantasy plays like an MTV-inspired daydream-come-true as 20-something’s Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet spend the better part of a decade having flirtatious encounters and one night stands until they chance upon a perfectly obvious Hollywood ending. Anchored by the Rock of the ’90s nostalgia of Third Eye Blind’s buoyant “Semi-Charmed Life”, Smash Mouth (the resilient, ’60s psych-pop … |

Touched by her yearning for passion, he writes her back, egged on by his mys… |

Ryan’s Daughter [VHS] $19.98 In 1970, Ryan’s Daughter had the distinction of being the first David Lean film to be included in Playboy magazine’s annual “Sex in the Cinema” round-up, thanks to a back-to-nature sex scene that earned the film its R rating. This old-school epic went on to win two Academy Awards for Best Cinematography and Best Supporting Actor for a grotesquely made-up John Mills as the cruelly put-upon village… |

A Lot Like Love (Widescreen Edition) $3.28 The words “subtle” and “Ashton Kutcher” rarely appear in the same sentence, but here goes: A Lot Like Love, a romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet, is surprisingly and pleasantly subtle.
