5 Important Tips for Choosing Ebook Reader Correctly

Nowadays, almost everything in this world relies on digital technology, even reading. If you are still into buying books and you would like them to travel with you, carrying them around would not be that easy. But, if you have your own electronic book reader, bring books anytime, anywhere would be possible. The challenge here is to find the right ebook reader that would meet your needs. You definitely would like to find the right one because you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on one that doesn’t meet your needs. So how to choose ebook reader correctly is very important.

1. PRICE

The more you spend the better feature you will get with your ebook reader. But the minimum price is around $200 for an ebook with less feature and not so sleek design. The most popular ebook reader is Kindle 2 ($299) from Amazon and fast catching up is Sony Reader Touch Edition ($299.99). These two ebook readers will satisfy most needs of an avid ebook reader.

Ebook reader with capability to subscribe to magazines, newspaper, blogs or RSS feeds has additional monthly cost not included when you buy the device.

2. FILE FORMAT and COMPATIBILITY

Not all ebook readers support the same file formats. It is imperative that you check the format of the ebooks that you would want to read in your ebook reader. If you only intend to read ebooks, then you may be in luck. But if you are looking to display image, play audio books or MP3, or even subscribe to RSS feeds and magazines, then you need to carefully check file format and compatibility.

3. RESOURCES

This is one of the important factors to consider when buying ebook reader. If you bought an expensive ebook reader and all your favorite ebooks are not available from the store for that particular reader, then you wasted your money. Kindle 2 for example only gets ebooks from Amazon but the good news is that Amazon is the biggest retailers of ebooks.

4.CONNECTIVITY

Another option that can really make or break is connectivity. Amazon Kindle for example provides wireless connection to download ebooks plus basic internet browsing. Great feature for those looking for added convenience. Sony Readers and others all require connection to PC or MAC in order to download ebooks.

If you plan to get Amazon Kindle, it is important to check if you can get Sprint 3G subscription… otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the wireless experience.

5. BATTERY LIFE

As long as it last for 2 weeks, then you should be fine. Amazon Kindle last 4 days with wireless ON and 2 weeks with wireless OFF.

Ebook reader is the “IT” gadget today because of the wonderful features and great portability that it provides the user. If you choose the right ebook reader, your experience in Reading Books will never be the same again.

Love Actually [VHS]

Love Actually [VHS]

With no fewer than eight couples vying for our attention, Love Actually is like the Boston Marathon of romantic comedies, and everybody wins. Having mastered the genre as the writer of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, and Bridget Jones’s Diary, it appears that first-time director Richard Curtis is just like his screenplays: He just wants to be loved, and he’ll go to absurdly appealing le…

The Help

The Help

$10.35

There are male viewers who will enjoy The Help, but Mississippi native Tate Taylor aims his adaptation squarely at the female readers who made Kathryn Stockett’s novel a bestseller. If the multi-character narrative revolves around race relations in the Kennedy-era South, the perspective belongs to the women. Veteran maid Aibileen (Doubt’s Viola Davis in an Oscar-worthy performance) provides the he…
